Activation Technology for Blended Cements

CHRYSO®AMA 100 EL Technology improves cement strenghts and allows to reduce the clinker factor thanks to tailor-made solutions designed specifically to achieve your objectives.
This powerful technology, optimal for blended cements, maximizes the use of locally available supplementary cementitious materials to produce low-carbon high quality cements.

CHRYSO®AMA 100 EL, to further reduce Cement Co2 Emissions

CHRYSO supports the cement manufacturers in:

  • achieving their CO2 emissions reduction commitments through the reduction of clinker factor
  • improving cement grinding properties therefore decreasing energy consumption and production costs.

A POWERFUL EARLY AND LATE ACTIVATION TECHNOLOGY FOR BLENDED CEMENTS

CHRYSO®AMA 100 EL Technology is a robust, cost-efficient and powerful activation solution that provides high levels of compressive strengths, both at early age and 28 days, in blended cements.

CHRYSO®AMA 100 EL Technology performance can be adjusted to:

  • maximize the contribution of each mineral addition
  • achieve high quality cement performance at low dosage

These strength enhancers are chloride-free and thus compliant with low-chloride content cement standards.

Chryso provides you with tailor-made solutions designed for your own technical and production requirements

HOW TO REACH HIGHER CLINKER FACTOR REDUCTION?

The clinker-to-cement ratio (percentage of clinker compared to other non-clinker materials) is a key lever to reduce the CO2 per tonne of cement produced.
Our expert teams will help you to:

  1. Enhance blended cement performance:
By recommanding or designing tailor-made additives to improve compressive strengths and the general quality of cements.
  2. Extend the use of mineral additions while maintaining cement performance:
    • Increase the content of supplementary cementitious materials
    • Use together different mineral additions to produce composite cements and CEM II/C-M cements according to the soon validated new European Standards NF EN 197-5
    • Extend the type of supplementary cementitious materials locally available: slag, fly ash, limestone, pozzolana and calcined clay.
  3. Improve Cement grinding:
By taking into account the grindability properties of all the materials to be ground therefore enhancing the cement reactivity.

ACTIVATION OF SLAG BLENDED CEMENTS BY AMINES

Cements containing blast furnace slags such as CEM III cements are increasingly used in both precast and ready-mixed concrete to improve the environmental footprint. However, the replacement of clinker by slag at a content varying between 35 and 95 wt% leads to a significant slow-down of cement hydration and consequently to a loss of early…
