Jobsite description
The C1 Cable project is an important milestone in the development of infrastructure in the Paris region (France).
The first urban cable car in the Île-de-France region connects the cities of Créteil, Valenton, Limeil-Brévannes and Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, covering a distance of 4.5 kilometres.
The five stations, which are integrated into the urban landscape and fully accessible, improve connections between these municipalities while minimising the environmental impact of travel.
The infrastructure work is certified as High Environmental Quality (HQE) and uses technical solutions adapted to the construction of sustainable concrete structures.
Chryso Expertise
For this civil engineering project, the superplasticizer Chryso® Optima 1340, which is based on Optima 1000 technology, was chosen to produce cohesive, easy-to-place concrete. Its unique molecular structure preserved the exceptional workability of the fresh concrete without compromising its mechanical performance at an early stage.
The Pieri®Color PM 1000 Galet pigment, which complies with standard NF EN 12878, provided a stable, UV-resistant color, contributing to the aesthetic durability of the exposed concrete.
Products used
- Superplasticizer: Chryso®Optima 1340
- Pigment: Pieri®Color PM 1000 Galet pigment
Project technical challenges
The construction of the cable car stations and structures required concrete with long workability while maintaining high mechanical performance.
Chryso’s technical support team helped to optimize the formulations according to the project’s implementation conditions and aesthetic objectives.
