Case studies

Concrete application

Status

  • Concrete cured at 10°C with a constant water-to-cement
    ratio of 0.38.
  • Same admixture and equal 100 mm slump at 45 minutes
    between both samples.

Results
EnviroAdd® activators boosted early strength in concrete,

  • outperforming traditional activators. Concrete strengths
    at 24 hours: +25% at 1 day when cured at 10°C.

LC3 activation

Status

Industrial trial with LC3-50 Cement (30% calcined clay, 15% limestone).

Results

Robust increases in compressive strengths :

  • +38% at 1 day or + 5 MPa with EnviroAdd® EL “C”
  • +18% at 28 days or + 8 MPa with EnviroAdd® EL “B”
  • Customized EnviroAdd® EL “A” met cement plant’s target performance at all ages

LC3 + “A” for example is a combination of LC3 and Customized solutions of EnviroAdd®.

Customized EnviroAdd® activators enable meeting the specific requirements of low-clinker cements.

Alternative Fuels

Status

  • Switching from 100% fossil fuels, 50% pet coke and 50% fuel oil
    to 85% pet coke and 15% refuse-derived fuel
  • Contributing to unfavorable kiln conditions

    the switch from fossil fuels to alternative fuels
