CHRYSO LAUNCHES A DEDICATED BIM OBJECT LIBRARY FOR DECORATIVE CONCRETE

24 July 20

CHRYSO is developing new tools to promote decorative concrete and leveraging the BIMobject platform as it creates BIM objects that can be downloaded both from its websites and the BIMobject portal. This move comes in response to the growing level of demand from architects, design offices and construction firms for BIM models. Concrete plays a prime role in sustainable construction projects and addresses the challenges facing the construction industry.

New BIM objects for digitizing the decorative concrete flooring :

CHRYSO has developed its own BIM objects and reinforce its expertise in decorative concrete. This new library of BIM objects contains five object categories for indoor and outdoor flooring:

  • Waxed concrete with CHRYSO®Beton Cire range
  • A selection of 10 stamped concrete with CHRYSO®DuraPrint solution
  • Coloured pervious concrete with CHRYSO®EasyDrain solution
  • Exposed-aggregate concrete with CHRYSO®DecoLav P and CHRYSO®DecoWash ranges
  • Luminescent concrete with LuminTech® technology

Decorative concrete floors are listed on the BIMobject platform with an enhanced aesthetic rendering:

Special care has been taken when developing the objects to ensure improved rendering performance in modelling projects. All rendered “materials and textures” are available on the portal in both real and modelled versions.
The new Decorative Concrete Floors category has been specifically created on BIMObject at CHRYSO’s initiative, so that users can access these solutions directly for their design projects.
All these objects are available on CHRYSO websites and the BIMobject portal.
Objects can be downloaded in two design software formats (REVIT and ARCHICAD) to cater for the largest possible number of BIM object users. Objects can be imported directly into pre-existing drawings.

A solution to support companies:

Gaining access to modelling objects represents a key stage in the digital transformation process for construction professionals.
This first BIM object library is a milestone for CHRYSO and reflects the Group’s ambition to assist specification writers and construction firms with embracing digital technologies.
